Responsibilities of a Foster Parent:
Provides a nurturing home environment for children and adolescents who have been victims of abuse and neglect
Supports children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems
Provides opportunities for children and adolescents to learn new ways to function within a family and their community
Advocates for and provides support with school and academics
What a Foster Parent receives:
Extensive parenting skills training
24-hour crisis support and guidance
Financial reimbursement for the care and supervision of children and adolescents
Medical coverage for children and adolescents
Opportunities available for foster to adopt
